ISRO announced that India will launch its third navigation satellite on Oct 16 at Sriharikota spaceport in Andhra Pradesh.This satellite weights about 1,425kg named as IRNSS-1C on Oct 16 at 1.32 a.m at Sriharikota with a polar rocket PSLV-C26 from Satish Dhawan.
It was first decided to launch on Oct 10 but it was postponed to Oct 16 because of the glitch in the telemetry system it is the part IRNSS which have arrangement of seven sattelites for accurate positioning service about 1,500km area in Indian peninsula for terrestrial,aerial and maritime navigation.
Now the final checking was going on process and the 67 hour count starts on Oct 13 at 6.32 a.m.
Our Indian system is same as that of the US Global Positioning System(GPS),Russia's Glonass and Europe's Galileo constellation of navigation satellites.
